Why TIDE Academy?

TIDE provides me with the amazing opportunity to support the very diverse group of learners found in our student body. I love that I have space to collaborate with other teachers in our small knit community to better support our students.

What I do and why

I teach Biology and Student Government, both of which I fell in love with as a high school student. Biology provides students a lense to better understand the world around them and to make a positive impact in their local communities, while teaching Student Government allows me to see students in a lower stakes environment where students can have fun and challenge themselves in their role as a leader on campus.

I grew up in the district and attended Carlmont High School. I then received my Bachelor's in Science from Santa Clara University, my teaching credential from Notre Dame de Namur, and my Master's in Teaching from Saint Mary's College. This is my second year at TIDE and I am so grateful to be part of such an amazing community!
